Vedika Global, Inc., a 501(c)(3) religious nonprofit, has been the foundation of Vedic teacher Acharya Shunya's service, devotion, and spiritual education in the USA since 2007. As part of Acharya Shunya's long-held vision, and following thoughtful discussions between herself, the Vedika Global board, and ASF's Chief Executive Officer (and sensior student) Gayathri Raman, a strategic decision has been made to reintegrate the valuable assets developed by the Awakened Self Foundation (ASF) back into Vedika Global by 2024. This proactive step, rooted in the shared ideals of philanthropy and public service, ensures that these resources, initially directed towards technology-driven dissemination of Vedic knowledge, will now be made widely available to the public via YouTube - this projects begin now and will be concluded by 2030. This reintegration is a realization of Acharya Shunya’s dream to make Vedic wisdom universally accessible, reflecting a collective commitment to uphold timeless values and serve the global community with open-hearted generosity.
Continuing the Journey: Sustain Your Vedic Education for the Next Decade and More
As ASF comes to a close in August, members of its Vedic Way program, such as yourself, will continue their studies in Vedika Global's newly introduced Vedic Study Circle, where they will have unrestricted access to deep Vedic/Yogic teachings, foreseeably for the next decade or more. Acharya Shunya is deeply committed to stabilizing this program so that it endures even beyond her lifetime, ensuring that the teachings continue to inspire and guide future generations.

While these teachings will be offered freely, sustaining this initiative requires much more than just providing a "free Zoom link." Behind the scenes, significant resources are needed, including technology infrastructure, video conversion, skilled editors, and platform maintenance. The entire process—from organizing content to ensuring seamless access—demands ongoing resources and human support. Under the leadership of Acharya Shunya, Vedika Global, Inc. became a pulse centre for Vedic education and philanthropy, deeply rooted in the ancient lineage of Advaita Vedanta. Through the Vedika Gurukula (the Vedic school) the organization trained thousands in Advaita Vedanta, Yoga, and Ayurveda, fostering a community of dedicated seekers. It also ran free clinics (5 years), free community classes (10 years) and many other service initiatives.
The Awakened Self Foundation marked a pivotal transformation, turning Vedika Global from a brick-and-mortar institution into a globally recognized platform. By leveraging advanced streaming technology, ASF created high-quality digital products and significantly expanded Vedika Global's reach, making its teachings accessible to a worldwide community of spiritual seekers. This evolution made Acharya Shunya's teachings and books, known and respected across the globe.
Vedika Global now supports and holds space for the most dedicated seekers through the Vedic Study Circle, under Acharya Shunya’s active guidance. This initiative focuses on the public dissemination of nondual Vedanta teachings, ensuring that the timeless wisdom of Vedanta reaches a global audience. With plans to make these teachings publicly accessible by 2030, Vedika Global continues to nurture the spiritual growth of committed students, preserving the legacy of this ancient tradition.
