Welcome, New Sadasya

Discover a global Sangha of wisdom:

Take a deep breath.
—this is your sacred space.

Dear Sadasya,

Welcome to my spiritual community!

As a Sadasya of the Vedic Study Circle, you join a living tradition devoted to self-actualization and self - realization through Bhakti yoga (devotion), Karma yoga (selfless action), Upasana yoga (meditation), and Jnana yoga (wisdom).  Guided by me and our lineage teachers, you’ll immerse yourself in the Vedas, Upanishads, and Bhagavad Gita, explore spiritualized Ayurveda, and receive Divine Feminine blessings.

Join our Tuesday evening satsangs—or catch the recordings—to stay connected with the community.

I look forward to welcoming you at our next satsang and witnessing how these teachings begin to shine as a living light in your life.

With love and blessings,
Shunyaji 042519-90_edited.jpg

Our Sangha values Matter to Us

Every Sadasya who enters this Portal steps into a shared sacred space—a living Sangha dedicated to self‐realization and mutual upliftment. To protect this environment of trust and devotion, we uphold clear values.  These principles guide how we speak, act, and support one another and by embracing and practicing these values, we all contribute to a space where every Sadasya can learn, grow, and flourish without fear.

For the preservation of this sacred space harsh judgment, disruptive negativity, or unwillingness to honor communal harmony, or any attitudes or actions that harm the collective heart of our community will not be tolerated

 Our Core Sangha Values

  1. Practice mindful speech and silence—choose words that uplift or hold compassionate quiet.
  2. Cultivate self-awareness and self-care—notice agitation, pause, and return when you’re centered.
  3. Offer consistent, heart-centered presence—even a few minutes of genuine attention nourishes our Sangha.
  4. Embrace lightness and beginner’s mind—approach every teaching with curiosity and allow room for questions.

Warm Suggestions

Benefit from the Power of Our Conscious Community

The value of a mindful, spiritual community cannot be overemphasized and the community you’ve joined is made up of dedicated seekers committed to growth and connection. Here, you’ll find support, inspiration, and shared wisdom at every step of your journey.
  • Benefit from Collective Support:
In this space, sincere intent matters most—no one expects perfection. Your questions and reflections enrich us all.
  • Your Spiritual Friends Await You:
New seekers join every day, bringing diverse experiences and fresh perspectives. A simple “hello” can spark conversations that nourish your practice and deepen your understanding.
  • Embracing Oneness:
In everyday life, it’s rare to meet others who truly share a vision of unity. Vedic wisdom—especially Advaita Vedanta—reminds us that all diversity emerges from a single Reality: our essential Self. Here, you’ll connect with those who live and celebrate that unity.

Deepen Your Immersion

For a richer understanding of our teachings,
explore these resources too at leisure:

Discover the Roots:
Every teaching you encounter here flows directly from the Sarayu Parampara, unbroken and unchanged. Visit our Lineage Page to learn about the unbroken Sarayu Parampara and the origin of this wisdom.

Meet in Person:
Check the Events Page for upcoming in-person gatherings—satsangs, retreats, and workshops—to experience the teachings firsthand.

Immerse in Acharya's  Works:
If you haven’t yet, browse Acharya Shunya’s books for comprehensive guidance and listen to her Shadow to Self  Advaita-Yoga philosophy based Podcast and also her  Eternal Whisper's Podcast for Bhakti inspiration—each work illuminates a unique aspect of Vedic life.

Honor the Vedic Tradition of Soul Reciprocity: Dakshina

Where the teachings are offered freely and generously, it is a time-honored tradition to make a dakshina—a donational offering—when a teacher shares wisdom without charge.

By becoming a recurring donor, even a modest contribution (for example, $25 to $ 35 per month) helps cover the costs of hosting live events, maintaining our online infrastructure, and supporting the teacher’s work.

Your dakshina is a gesture of gratitude and an act of responsibility that sustains this lineage of generosity and ensures we can continue to share these teachings with sincerity and gravitas.

We humbly ask you to consider a monthly gift,
allowing us to bring this wisdom to you  without fee in today’s
commercialized world.

Meet You Soon!

We’re delighted you’ve taken this first step.

Remember: every question you ask, every hesitation you overcome, brings you closer to the living spirit of the Vedas. This is not just study—it is sadhana, a sacred journey of remembrance.

Let your seeking be steady, your heart open, and your actions aligned with dharma.
May your time here awaken your heart, steady your mind, and strengthen the bonds of your global spiritual family.

Below, meet your teacher, Acharya Shunya, with her devoted team of lineage-trained Sadhvis and Sadhyas who will walk beside you.

Group Meditation Practice
Our Greetings:
Members say Hi, Hello, or  “Jai Maa” (hail Divine Mother) and “Jai Gurudev” (hail the Guru, Baba Ayodhya Nath) to honor the Divine Mother and our lineage’s guiding light, who is Acharya Shunya's Guru. These salutations open the heart and remind us of our shared devotion. Traditional as well as modern greetings flow through our global community.
Seva: Offering our Time and Skills
Many members offer seva—an expression of gratitude and devotion that sustains our community.
What Is Seva? Doing selfless work—moderating forums, technical support, supporting outreach—without expecting anything in return.
When to Offer? Only commit when your heart feels called; there’s no rush—serve once you’re deeply moved.
Honoring Our Roots, Embracing All Faiths
You’ll notice that this community often uses traditional Vedic chants, mantras, and bhajans—appealing to various Hindu deities like Ganesha, Durga and Saraswati as expressions of devotion. This reflects the deep Hindu influence woven into our lineage practices and roots. However, please know there is no intention here to convert anyone. We honor these expressions as our cultural and spiritual roots as well as tools, not as a requirement.
Whenever Sanskrit is spoken, your teachers will immediately translate each word. Feel free to enjoy the sound and rhythm without any pressure to learn it. If you’re drawn to study Sanskrit more deeply, that’s wonderful; if not, simply listen and let the essence wash over you. In total 10 or so Sanskrit words will be important (our Lingo) and we will share them with you, frequently.  You will glean them organically over the next several months to years.
Likewise, though a vegetarian lifestyle is common in Vedic practice, you are never asked to change your personal diet. We encourage healthy living but respect each individual’s choices.
In short, while our roots and rituals bear strong Hindu flavors, our door is open to all seekers—regardless of your own faith or lack thereof. Those who feel entirely opposed to any form of spiritual expression may find this space challenging, but most discover a warm, inclusive environment where oneness and inner freedom are the true focus.
