This morning I was relistening to recording 4 of the Gayatri Sadhana Workshop (March 2025), and found these words so motivating, I thought I'd share them here.

This is from timestamp 1:32 of the recording:

“There is no greater austerity/sadhana than the Gayatri Sadhana. What does the Gayatri Sadhana look like? I wake up in the morning, sleep early, so I eat lighter at bedtime, I avoid alcohol and coffee and tea and other stimulants so that I can sleep well, because I’m eager to wake up in the morning to greet Savita Devata, the Sun Devata, before it rises.  Then I want to be ready to greet Savita, and then as I am greeting and chanting (the Gayatri Mantra), and after that when I sit in meditation, I’m also having a rendezvous with Maa Gayatri and her blessings. And slowly my life is transforming. Because it’s transforming, I’m eating better, thinking better, feeling better, wanting to do better, and slowly, inner light is increasing, and I’m no longer feeling bound by my story, my past mistakes, my habits, and my emotional/mental confusions are no longer dictating me. And this Gayatri Mantra sadhana, it reduces me gradually to my path, the Giver of my path, and I become steadfast on the path. But just being steadfast on the path and showing up mechanically is not the point. The point is, am I dropping deeper? Am I shedding my old identities? And is a Light Being emerging from within me? This Light Being is blessed by Tat Savitur Varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dimahi Diyo Yonah Prachodayat. Because of this last line, I have become That! I have become what I meditate upon. My agency is now coming from the Supreme Agency. I am no longer struggling within me and that is why…there is no greater meditation than the Gayatri, no greater offering than the Gayatri.”
