Altar as a portal, Mantra as an offering

Jai Maa All,

In this week's Tuesday session, we unearthed wisdom from Acharya Shunya's unpublished writings on creating and maintaing an altar.

You can review the session on the public YouTube recording here.

For those who already have an altar established, the insights brought new light and perspectives on the depth of meaning and strength we can gain from our altar.

For those who have not created one before, it was an encouragement to try the practice in the laboratory of your own space and see if you uncover the same gems that countless seekers and teachers have found through the practice.

Then we chanted the Gayatri Mantra together - feeling the words enter our being as sounds, experiencing them emerge as an eternal vibration, and visualizing them as a bridge to the divine within and all around us - asking Truth to illumine our entire being.

The practice of an Altar and chanting the Gayatri mantra are time-tested practices that have been kept alive in Acharya Shunya's lineage for countless generations. They are not dogmatic mandates from the outside, but an invitation to experience moments of profound inner awakening.

We will keep exploring mantras and a bhajan this month on Tuesdays. You are invited to join us to experience the joy, contentment, and community of these practices.

Thank you so much for this beautiful Satsang, Sadvhi Ishani . Thank you for sharing your personal journey. It is filled with Divine guidance and steadfastness in your shraddha. It really resonates with my heart and encourages me on my journey.🙏 The idea of the altar as a portal and the Mantra as an offering makes this daily 'Tête à tête" with the Divine a very close and intimate encounter. The mantra that is very precious to me is the Brahmanandan Mantra, which I discoverd on this platform sung by Acharya Shunyaji. The Gayatri Mantra has become like an automatic generated sountrack in my mind when sitting in nature at sunrise or sunset, or when stargazing... These moments always fill me with shakti. Jai Maa ! This picture is taken early January, Belgium. "Beams of Divine Light pierce the veil of illusions and dispel a misty mind."
