Introducing myself!
Namaste all! Tonight was my first live session I've attended with Acharya Shunya ji, and I wanted to introduce myself on this forum after that wonderful experience. I was raised Hindu and have always had a strong connection to my faith, but I really fell in love with the beautiful wisdom traditions within Hinduism when I started to discover them for myself as an adult. I first heard about Acharya Shunya's teachings during the pandemic, when I read Sovereign Self. At the time, I was 19 years old, and fairly lost internally. The idea that I did not have to define myself by the roles that I play in this world was groundbreaking for me, and it was in that knowledge that I started to find peace. I started to watch Acharya Shunya's YouTube lectures, and flash forward to now-- almost 5 years later-- I find myself here in this space. I would like to thank you all for being welcoming, and I look forward to continuing my spiritual journey. <3
Beautiful to have you here Ishaa. I love hearing how this wisdom is bringing you into a deeper love of the traditions and faith you grew up with. I know you had a question this week in the Bhakti session that we were not able to get to. I'm sure there will be another opportunity in a future session and look forward to hearing what insights and questions come up for you as you keep exploring.
