Rooted in Spirit
The following poem was inspired by our recent Kula Meet and the teachings of our lineage, as well as by the beautiful trees that populate the lanscape in the Pacific Northwest of North America.
Rooted in Spirit
Our tree of inner life
Reaches deep into Earth's caress,
And gently stretches up to mingle
In Sky's misty embrace,
While verdant leaves soak in vast
Nutrients of Love and Light for ourselves,
They, too, provide shade and shelter
For all who gather near.
Our steadfast trunk maintains anchor
When winds of delusion and ignorance howl,
And its bark gives even the smallest of us
A place for respite.
Our arboreal existence thus thrives
As we live rooted in Spirit.
