This morning I put my yoga mat in front of my altar and dedicated my asana practice to Ishvara. While preparing lunch, I paused and asked myself, what if you were preparing this for Ishvara? Suddenly the task of peeling and cutting the butternut squash became an act of devotion. I’m slowly but surely weaving together the threads of knowledge that I’m receiving. 🙏🏻💗✨

Yes. The everyday as more than the mundane. I am a slow waker and often must force myself to take a very deep breath to break the “snooze” cycle. This morning when I did it, I thought it was a breath to gift to Ishvara. Then throughout the day when I had moments of breath awareness or “mindfulness,” I gave it to Ishvara. It gave meaning and depth to the actions that have been labeled mindfulness—not for my mind, but to recognize that which is beyond the mind. Also, honoring Ishvara whenever I caught notice of my breath gave me the sensation that the breath I was breathing was also breathing me. It felt wildly spacious and contained at the same time.
