Planting the seed of Dedication

Jai Maa !

How fortunate and encouraging is this journey of Karma Yoga!

We are invited to transform our ordinary lives into a sacred practice, where action no longer binds but liberates.

Today I plant the seed of dedication so that I can become the keen observer of this process and remember that these ten months of study with Acharya Shunya require commitment, patience and acceptance no matter what.

Jai Maa Marijke,

First, thank you and all our other pad members for Sunday's meeting!

Yes! I resonate with your comment about commitment, patience and acceptance!

My ego can take me down some pretty challenging alleyways sometimes. Yesterday, I had to do my best not to get totally swept away by a strong current. I did not know what to do. None of the practices seemed to give me relief, but staying conscious of the teachings to whatever very small extent that I could, not just the suffering, was a thin lifeline.

Today, I am feeling more centered and empowered. Shunyaji's missive to DON'T GIVE UP - really helped. Along with the other teachings which, even if I was not completely conscious of, carried me through.

I am so amazed, astounded, surprised that there is actually a Guru for me. At 67 I thought I'd have to wait for another lifetime or thought maybe the idea of a true teacher was just a fantasy. I am so relieved to find a real Guru who points me to my highest Self and gives me the tools to do the work to become liberated.

It is good to get back to Bhakti - devotion and through Karma Yoga take responsibility for waking up - but not on my own, with shastra and the guidance of a guru and the support of a satsangha. So much gratitude!!!
