Jai Maa everyone, recently I was informed of some news and impending changes about my husband's work that made me feel a range of emotions. It was information that was difficult to sit with. When I woke up today, I made a firm affirmation that I was going to spend the day in gratitude. That despite whatever emotions arose, I would give it the space to be, and then I would then think about what I was grateful for.

I decided to spend some time with Acharya Shunya ji's book Sovereign Self. For me, this book is like exercising my mind, and reminding me of my inner truth with practical and applicable steps to realign my thoughts with my inner Sovereignty. Auspiciously, when I opened the book I had bookmared page 217, where there is a "Guided Practice: A Contemplation for a Sattvic Mind." I smiled thinking, this is exactly what I need at this moment, I of course felt a surge of gratitude for many things!

Acharya Shunya ji wrote, "Contemplate the following thought affirmations, one at a time, until this knowledge, I am a sovereign being with infinite potential, is internalized;

I am Spirit Divine.

I am wholeness.

I am unconditional love.

I am the source of all joy.

I am infinitely powerful.

I am currently blessed from within, always.

I am peace. I am silence.

I am unattached. I am free.

Despite commitments in relationships, freedom is my soul nature.

I am whole. I am secure. I am love. I am complete.

I am fulfilled.

I am pure.

I am done with all kinds of shaming.

I am a soul, not a physical being. All of my relationships belong to the body.

My soul is limitless. I am invincible.

I am pure awareness. Relationships come and go in this awareness.

Being myself is danger free. It's my ultimate truth, and I live fearlessly.

I'd rather be disliked for who I am than liked for whom I am not.

I am a divine being. How can I be nondeserving, nonpowerful, or nonprecious?

My essential nature is powerful beyond description. It is this soul power I reclaim with joy in this moment, from within me.

I am connected to an unlimited source of love, abundance, and self-acceptance, now and always.

I have access to unlimited divine assistance. My strength comes from my connection to this divine source.

I am pure consciousness. The age of my body and the state of my mind have no bearing on who I am.

I can accomplish anything I put my mind to because I know I'm never alone. My Self is inherently connected to the Supreme Reality, the Self of this entire universe-God.

I am a divine instrument of love.

Reading these affirmations, and the supporting paragraphs on pg. 218 was truly exactly what I needed to be reminded of as I sit with my gratitude and contemplate on how I can best support myself, and my family throughout difficult changes. It reassured me that I have all of the tools I need within me, at all times. I have Acharya Shunya ji's wisdom and teachings as a compass, keeping me heading north, towards the North star, where I reach my truest potential and growth. I feel abundantly blessed and I wanted to share this all with you :)

Such wonderful reminder of these affirmations, and I really resonated with the shares in the comments as well. Grateful for this space to share these sandboxes where we are bringing these teachings into ever more subtle practice.
