Public·103 Sadasya (Optional)

Introducing Myself Jai Maa Everyone!

I first became a Sadasya in 2015 and joined weekly Satsang for a few years, up until the year Shunyaji paused for a bit. I met some of you in Sedona right before that pause. I have stayed connected in my own ways; reading over Aparna’s beautiful summary of our Acharya’s teachings on the Sadhana Chatushtayam for the ?th time and reading each of Shunyaji’s new books as they were released. I am still assimilating the wealth of knowledge in Sovereign Self. What an incredible gift that book has been and will be! From time to time I look over my notes from the weekly Satsangs and feel nostalgic for that connection to guru, shastra, sangha.

I had a few crazy years away, that included getting engaged, building a house and then loosing that partner. Thanks to Shunya’s teachings I had an anchor when things fell apart. Due to a deep love of Ishwara and shraddha, from time spent with her, I found trust there….that all was unfolding as it should, despite any likes or dislikes small self had. I can’t say how helpful it was for me to have something vast and unchangeable to connect to as the samsara maze was erected and constantly reconfiguring all around. Little medicine thoughts were there. They were echos put in place over time from satsang. They flowed through me when I needed them. Quotes are still there, in the memory, like this one- “our minds are like water, they tend to settle to the lowest places, so we need to sit close and listen to a qualified teacher to lift them up”. SO true and that is why I am back. I am so grateful for what I have received from our Acharya in the past and am ready to dive in again.

I decided rather than jump into the end of the past lesson on Shankaracharya that it would be auspicious to start off the new year with the new teachings on ch 3 of the Bhagavad Gita with you all on Jan. 7th. Looking forward to then!

Warm wishes in this holiday season,

Wonderful to have you here Rama. I really resonate with how you describe these teachings as an anchor, especially when life is full of unexpected shifts.
