Bhaja Govindam Companion Study #2 Recording Posted
Jai Maa and Jai Guru Deva,
Yesterday's Bhaja Govindam Companion Study session #2 recording is now posted! In this series, inspired by the teachings of Acharya Shunya, we're continuing our thematic exploration of this Advaita Vedanta text.
In this class, we began exploring the first theme of 'Impermanence' with special attention on Verses 4, 10, 12, 15 of the Bhaja Govindam teachings. Topics include Samsaara, Viveka/discernment, Vairagyam/dis-association from samsaara, 5 types of desire, importance of our final thoughts, and the urgency of turning towards Govindam. Included in this session are several contemplation exercises to unveil your own inner desires and attachments.
Our next session together will be on March 22nd, 2025. If you haven't yet had a chance to explore this series, this month will be a great time to catch up on the first two sessions (Companion Series Playlist here) and also rewatch Acharya Shunya's original Bhaja Govindam series (located here).
As always, this Community Forum is an EXCELLENT place to share your contemplations and questions. I look forward to your mindful mananam!
Love and light,
Sadhvi Aparna
Jai Maa Sadhvi Aparna! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and this deep knowledge! I love the analogy of the flower, it is so beautiful yet so impermenent and the questioning of why did it have to bloom when it would wither way anyways! Every fall season, I relish in the site of the changing leaves and their colours and contemplate on the peace and intutitiveness of mother nature as these leaves fall away! I will keep observing the multiples voices and parts that emerge on this journey and I look forward to continuing the companion study on Bhaja Govindham with you. Feel a lot of gratitude in my heart for these teachings❤️
