About

Sadhvi Aparna has journeyed deeply into the teachings of her Guru, Acharya Shunya, for over 15 years. Through sincere study, inner work, and lived transformation, she has become a steady light on the Vedic path—one whose presence inspires trust, depth, and real change. As the former Dean of the Vedic Studies Program at Vedika Global (2014–2019), she mentored hundreds of Sadasyas with quiet strength, clarity, and unwavering dedication.
In recognition of her deep embodiment of the teachings, Aparna was honored with the title of Sadhvi by Acharya Shunya—a title that affirms her readiness to guide others and serve as a transmitter of lineage wisdom. She has taught Sadhana Chatushtayam at the adhikari level to committed Sadasyas inside Vedika Global and is currently working on a new book to support disciples-in-training across the lineage.
Sadhvi Aparna has also been a devoted facilitator and transmitter of Acharya Shunya’s Goddess teachings. For over 15 years, she has lovingly supported and helped organize Navratri celebrations and has co-taught several hallmark programs, including Honor the Goddess Within, Roaring Abundance, Roaring Wellness, and Embrace the Divine Feminine. Her reverence, coordination, and quiet presence have helped anchor these sacred teachings for hundreds of seekers worldwide.
Known for her heartfelt and practical approach to Karma Yoga, which she teaches on 4th Tuesday evenings, Sadhvi Aparna also curates and transmits the Vinay teachings for those ready to deepen in humility, reverence, and spiritual maturity. Her Bhaja Govindam companion series, offered earlier this year, was deeply transformational for many members, helping them apply sacred wisdom to daily life with courage and sincerity.
She mentors pod leaders, supports small group study, and lovingly upholds the inner culture of the Sadasya community. Together with her partner, who is also a dedicated seeker, she lives the teachings of Vedanta with quiet authenticity—rooted in truth, simplicity, and compassion.
Her newest offering, Sadhaka Sadhana, is a gift to international seekers—those just beginning or returning to the path—who long to live with more inner peace, clarity, and spiritual purpose. It is her way of extending a warm hand to those across the world who are ready to begin walking toward freedom, one step at a time.
A Letter of Welcome from
Sadhvi Aparna:

Jai Maa! My name is Aparna Amy Lewis, and I am delighted to explore these Vedic teachings with you.
For thousands of years, through a profound tradition of education called the guru shishya parampara, Advaita Vedanta and other Vedic sciences have been faithfully transmitted to future generations. From teacher to student, when the “worthy vessel” is able to hold the knowledge completely, they are able to carry the wisdom forward. Three stages of learning transform the student from an information seeker to an embodied wisdom holder - shravanam (concentrated listening to the words of the teacher with our inner witness), mananam (deep contemplation and inquiry of what we have heard), and nidi dhyasanam (internalizing the teachings with active practice).
Acharya Shunya has been carefully pouring knowledge into me for the last 15 years. I have delved into Vedanta, Yoga, Ayurveda and other Vedic teachings, both from the oral tradition and with systematic study of Vedic source texts. I have been blessed to have been able to receive live word-for-word text commentaries on many texts from Adi Shankaracharya (including the Bhaja Govindam, Nirvana Shatakam, Atmabodha, Tattva Bodha, Viveka Chudamani, Bhagavad Gita (commentary), Sadhana Panchakam) and other seminal works of Ayurveda, Goddess teachings, Vedas, Upanishads, and Yoga philosophy.
Continued churning and contemplation of these teachings has actively changed my consciousness. Rigorous self contemplative practices have helped me to mold my mind and ego to be a worthy vessel for this knowledge. My ego is more purified, body more cleansed, mind more resilient, and heart more open. Every part of my life has been enriched by this wisdom, and the truth of Ayurveda, Yoga, Vedanta, and Goddess bhakti teachings, lights my path back to Self. I have been, and continue to be, transformed!
I look forward to leading you forward in deep contemplations and embodying the wisdom Vedic source teachings, as elucidated by Acharya Shunya.

Together, they walk the path of grhastha sadhus, quietly supporting the lineage through shared seva, study, regular donations and steady presence.
