Spending time with the mother within

This past weekend, I had the joy of traveling to Kripalu in Massachusetts along with Sadhya Soumya, Arya, and a group of new seekers to sit at the feet of our teacher and learn about healing, power, and the mother within in her session Awakening the Divine Feminine. One phrase Shunya-ji shared that reached deep inside of me was that our relationship with the Goddess Mother is like “a fish talking to the ocean.” My family supported us all through fishing, so ocean imagery connects for me—and the knowledge that the fish swims in the ocean, and that every breath it takes is the ocean and that everything it eats includes the ocean quickly made it clear how Ishwara is all and is with us all everywhere, in every way, and all at once. There were so many more lessons in the weekend. It will take me many weeks to allow them to churn within me.

I also attended her sessions online through Kripalu in March—The Goddess and the End of Shame. It is such a blessing to have Kripalu near to where I live, and I would commend their campus and their online programs as another wonderful way to be with our teacher and experience her expansive wisdom. Jai Maa!
