Seeing the Divine Order in the Disorder

We had a beautiful and beneficial integration session this week. I want to thank Sadhvi Aparna and Sadhvi Ishani for tying the loose ends in our understanding and guiding us toward further contemplation.

As we were led to contemplate on the areas in our lives where we experience more and more psychological cooling, I tried to silently observe the chaos, unsteadiness around me. Then I remembered Acharya Shunya's words from the recent satsang.

"There is a divine order in this disorder."

And I asked myself, how do I see this divine order, this calm and serenity amidst so much chaos and uncertainty?

The image of a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle flashed in my mind. What is going on around me is like a jigsaw puzzle that I am striving to put its pieces together. However, no matter how hard I try, there is always one piece missing . Then begins the anxious search for that one missing piece. Relentless, frantic search for one more piece that would make the picture perfect. But the picture is never complete and it never satisfies.

When we look deeper into that silence within us, we suddenly realize that what matters is not putting all the pieces together in the right order, it is about daring to toss all the pieces and letting them float in the air. It is that disorder that opens up a window to Divine order.

The real steadiness is actually the board that holds the pieces together. Once the pieces are tossed in the air, the ground that holds everything is unveiled. And it is that leap of faith that gives us the courage to let the pieces go. That leap of faith and confidence in the Guru and Shastra...

We are all blessed with these precious teachings that show us the way to liberation. But liberation/moksha is just a word. As Acharya Shunya mentions in Walking With Dharma, it is shradda that holds the student in place long enough for the teachings to do its work. And it is shradda that shows us the Divine order amidst uncertainty and chaos. 🧡
