Navratri 2026
Nine Sacred Mornings
with Acharya Shunya
For nine mornings, come sit close to the Mother
In a world that asks so many of us to keep carrying more than the heart was meant to carry alone, Navaratri becomes a return.
For a few sacred days, you do not have to keep pushing forward. You are invited to sit closer to the Divine Mother and remember another rhythm of being.
Each morning, Acharya Shunya will guide a 30-minute live transmission of mantra, stillness, and direct insight into the Goddess of the day.
Durga will steady you.
Lakshmi will soften and restore you.
Saraswati will clear the mind and bring you back to wisdom.
This is a daily return to the Divine Feminine within you: not as an idea, but as shelter, strength, and living grace.
Enter the Rhythm of Navratri
During these nine sacred mornings, you will be held in a living rhythm of:
Invocation
Mantra meditation
Chanting
Teaching
Community
Reflection
Navaratri recipes and sacred support
A concluding retreat celebration with Acharya Shunya. For those who wish to go deeper, optional afternoon immersions with Acharya Shunya are also available through The Mother’s Inner Chamber.
Come each day to sit close to the Mother, receive the Goddess of the day, and return to a steadier, more devotional way of being.
All sincere seekers are welcome here, across genders, faiths, cultures, and backgrounds.

Vimala B
Listening to Acharya Shunya's teachings on the nine goddesses of Navratri was like a lullaby inviting me into the deeply powerful and enchanting world of the divine feminine. As she described the attributes, aspects and challenges of each goddess they came to life for me in a way that willed me to stop struggling, and surrender to their strength and beauty. Over these days I began to recognize and look for these goddess qualities within myself.

Manju B
With Acharya Shunya's teachings, the nine forms of Durga emerged in 9 days for us to embrace the significance of them in our modern lives, our souls and our very being. As her stories unfolded the essence of the goddesses, the Goddess in me was invoked, their presence felt and their essence embodied my soul.

Acharya Shunya's Goddess teachings are so alive, flowing like a river of wisdom, artfully telling the sacred Goddess stories, awakening how we can roar as modern day Goddesses too. When I am connected with the Goddess, I could activate an inner awareness that is radically okay, vastly open, and wisely welcoming, despite my outer circumstances changing like the weather patterns.

Goddess Invocator: Wisdom Keeper
Acharya Shunya
Acharya Shunya has grown up in a family that has revered the Divine Feminine for the last 2000 years in India. At the age of 9, the typical age in India for spiritual initiation, she was formally initiated into a lifelong path of Vedic learning, teaching, and service. She was also introduced to the wisdom of ancient goddess scriptures, worship rituals, mantras, and mystical practices by her grandfather, a renowned Hindu sage and yogi of his time in India.
The more time Acharya Shunya spent contemplating and meditating on the mythology and teachings of goddesses Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati, the more inner strength awakened within her. Today, as the first female head of her 2000-year-old Vedic lineage and as someone who has been leading nine-day, nine-night 'Navratri' goddess immersions and retreats through Vedika Global since 2008, Acharya Shunya has imparted her unique and original goddess teachings to countless thankful students worldwide. She is also the author of "Roar Like A Goddess" (Sounds True, 2022), a book that has inspired many on their spiritual journey.

Sadhvi Aparna is a Vedic Teacher in Acharya Shunya's ancient lineage. Aparna's first exposure to The Goddess was through an intensive 9 Day 9 Night 'Navratri' Retreat with Acharya Shunya in 2009, soon after receiving her spiritual name. Aparna experienced transformational change by implementing and embodying the archetypal values associated with each of the 9 Devis. After coordinating Acharya Shunya’s community celebrations of the Goddess for over a decade, Sadhvi Aparna is well suited to support seekers as they celebrate Navratri with Acharya Shunya.
In recognition of her unwavering commitment, spiritual depth, and embodiment of Vedic principles, Aparna has been honored with the title of 'Sadhvi' by Acharya Shunya. This esteemed title not only marks her as an advanced seeker within the lineage but also recognizes her capacity to lead and share the teachings with others. As a Sadhvi, Aparna is now entrusted with the sacred responsibility of guiding others on their spiritual journeys, sharing her rich experiences and deep wisdom.

Nina Rao
Kirtan Artist
Nina Rao learned traditional chants (bhajans) from her grandfather in a village in south India when she nine years old. The chants quietly stayed with her until she rediscovered chanting with Krishna Das in New York in 1996. For many years Nina has been Krishna Das’ business manager and accompanies him musically as well. In 2007, she recorded the track 'Nina Chalisa' on Krishna Das’ CD “Flow of Grace" released by Sounds True. January 2013 she released her debut album, “Antarayaami-Knower of All Hearts"; August 2018 her second album “Anubhav” was released entirely crowd-funded. Nina regularly leads kirtan, workshops, and retreats in her hometown of Brooklyn/New Paltz New York and beyond. She is also founder & chairwoman of non-profit Saving Wild Tigers which supports conservation of wild tigers and all species in their natural habitat in India. In addition, she hosts a podcast series on the Be Here Now Network exploring spirituality, practice, and conservation of wilderness and Nature. Nina Rao has recorded special goddess mantras exclusively for Acharya Shunya led Navratri retreats that will be made accessible to registered participants.
A Note on Tradition and Inclusivity:
Navratri arises from the living Hindu wisdom tradition and draws from sacred texts, mantras, and contemplative practices preserved for generations.
Acharya Shunya shares these teachings in a way that welcomes sincere seekers from all backgrounds, cultures, and faiths. Participation does not require changing your religion, culture, lifestyle, or personal beliefs.
The Goddesses explored during Navratri may be approached devotionally, symbolically, psychologically, spiritually, or contemplatively. Many participants experience them as profound inner archetypes representing strength, wisdom, compassion, protection, clarity, and transformation.
At the same time, these teachings remain rooted in their original Vedic and Hindu source traditions, which are honored throughout the journey with care and reverence.
