Lakshmi and Alakshmi

What a beautiful session we had yesterday!Sadhya Soumya's presentation and her personal sharing were truly inspiring.

This morning, while contemplating the essence of Maa Lakshmi, I realized she represents Dharma—all that we can be and become when we follow the light of Sattva and righteousness.

On the other hand, Alakshmi symbolizes all that we strive not to be or do, yet at times we forget our Dharmic nature and fall into the patterns of rajas and tamas. Alakshmi crept up on me this morning, as my ego tried to convince me to stay in bed a little longer, using last night's late satsang as an excuse. But giving in would have meant shortening my morning routine—yet another precious gift from Maa Lakshmi.

I had to gently say no to Alakshmi—with love and understanding—and choose to rise, steady on my path.

Jaya Maa Lakshmi! Jai Guru Dev!

Yes, Jayanti, the very next day after the inspiring session Sadhya Solumya I found myself getting up early to clean what I had scattered around the house and to get organized. Over the entire week, I felt the impulse to be more tidy and organized, and I appreciate that session.
