A Vedic Lineage Teacher
for Modern Seekers

Acharya Shunya is the spiritual head of Sarayu Parampara, a Vedic lineage rooted in Ayodhya, India, and the first woman to formally lead this ancient tradition.

Through her books, live teachings, and the educational work of Vedika Global, she guides seekers across the world into the wisdom of Advaita Vedanta, the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, Yoga, Shakti, and Ayurveda.

Her work speaks to the questions of contemporary life: how to remain whole through change, meet suffering with wisdom, deepen devotion without losing discernment, and discover the freedom of the Self while living fully in the world.

The Sarayu Parampara

Acharya Shunya is the present head of Sarayu Parampara, a Vedic lineage rooted in Ayodhya and carried through generations of householder teachers. She received its teachings through her grandfather and guru, Acharya Ayodhya Nath, whose own guru was Acharya Shanti Prakash. The lineage preserves the wisdom of the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, meditation, mantra, devotion, and Self-knowledge through direct study and lived transmission.

As the first woman to formally lead Sarayu Parampara, Acharya Shunya carries its teachings forward for seekers living within the responsibilities of the modern world.

A Complete Path of Vedic Wisdom

Acharya Shunya teaches the four classical yogas as one integrated path of awakening.

Bhakti Yoga opens the heart to devotion, Karma Yoga brings clarity and sacred purpose to action, Upasana Yoga gathers the mind through meditation, mantra, and contemplation, and Jnana Yoga reveals the timeless Self.

Her teaching draws deeply from the Vedas, Upanishads, and Bhagavad Gita, allowing scripture to become a source of direct inquiry and guidance for relationships, work, suffering, leadership, and spiritual life.  Students are invited into sustained study, sincere practice, and a freedom that can be lived amid the responsibilities of the modern world.

Bringing Vedic Wisdom into the World

Acharya Shunya is the founder of Vedika Global, an educational nonprofit established in 2008 to preserve and share the depth of India’s wisdom traditions. Through its courses, study circles, community programs, and charitable educational work, Vedika Global has served seekers from many countries and backgrounds. Her bestselling books, public teachings, podcast Shadow to Self, retreats, and appearances at respected spiritual and cultural institutions have carried Advaita Vedanta, Yoga, Ayurveda, and the wisdom of Shakti to a wider international audience. Across every form of her work, she remains committed to teachings that are philosophically rigorous, spiritually alive, and relevant to the human journey today.

Vedika Global & the Vedic Study Circle

Founded by Acharya Shunya in 2008, Vedika Global is a nonprofit educational home for the study and practice of Vedic wisdom. Its work began with in-depth education in Ayurveda and has grown to include Vedanta, the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, the Goddess tradition, and the four yogas.

Through the Vedic Study Circle, seekers from many countries gather for scripture, satsang, chanting, contemplation, self-inquiry, and spiritual community. Donation-based access helps sincere students remain connected to the teachings regardless of financial circumstance.

Teaching That Meets the Whole Person

Acharya Shunya brings the four yogas into one living path of transformation. Bhakti Yoga awakens devotion, Karma Yoga refines action and responsibility, Upasana Yoga steadies the mind through mantra, meditation, and contemplation, and Jnana Yoga leads the seeker into direct knowledge of the Self. The wisdom of Shakti moves through this entire path, cultivating courage, discernment, creativity, abundance, and inner sovereignty. The teaching therefore addresses the whole person: mind, heart, body, relationship, responsibility, and the deeper longing for freedom.

A Path of Depth and Continuity

In an age of quick answers and spiritual shortcuts, Acharya Shunya offers the steady presence of a teacher rooted in lineage.

She teaches seekers week after week, allowing scripture, mantra, contemplation, and the four yogas to mature through sustained study and practice. Her path invites a life to be realigned gradually: a verse understood deeply, a mantra repeated sincerely, a question held until insight ripens.

Through this patient unfolding, spiritual knowledge moves beyond information and becomes lived clarity, devotion, courage, and remembrance of the Self.

Compassion with Clarity

Acharya Shunya meets grief, fear, relationship, and spiritual struggle with tenderness and truth. Her guidance does not leave students identified with their pain, nor does it dismiss the realities of human life. She offers compassion without indulgence and correction without humiliation, helping seekers recover discernment and remember the Self that remains whole through every experience.
