of Vedic Wisdom
Study the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Advaita Vedanta, and the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya within the living Sarayu Parampara.
Acharya Shunya’s Vedic teachings arise from the Sarayu Parampara, her ancient spiritual lineage from Ayodhya, India. Raised in a family of traditional teachers, she began studying the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Vedanta, and the disciplines of Yoga under her guru and grandfather, Acharya Ayodhya Nath, when she was nine years old.
For nearly three decades, Acharya Shunya has carried this wisdom forward through sustained teaching, spiritual community, and the careful preparation of students. Some have remained in study with her for twenty years, allowing the teachings to accompany them through changing seasons of life.
This continuity lies at the heart of her work. Vedic wisdom is received slowly, contemplated deeply, practiced sincerely, and allowed to reveal the freedom of the Self. Through the Sarayu Parampara, seekers encounter Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Upasana Yoga, and Jnana Yoga as interconnected dimensions of one complete path. Devotion opens the heart. Sacred action purifies intention. Upasana gathers the mind and turns it toward the Divine. Self-knowledge reveals the limitless consciousness that has always been present.

Why Study the Vedic Path?
Even a full and accomplished life can remain shadowed by fear, restlessness, inadequacy, and the effort to control what cannot be controlled. The Vedic path leads us toward the deeper inquiry: Who am I beneath the body, mind, roles, and changing circumstances of my life?
Through the wisdom of the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, and Advaita Vedanta, we discover the Self as whole, limitless, and inseparable from the sacred reality of existence. As this understanding matures, the sense of isolation begins to loosen. We meet life with greater clarity, steadiness, devotion, and inner freedom.
Life will continue to bring change, yet the fundamental stress born from believing we are separate, incomplete, and unsupported can come to an end. This recognition of oneness is the heart of the Vedic path and the freedom called moksha.

Study with Acharya Shunya
Lineage Head · Advaita Vedanta Teacher · Author of Three Books · Nearly Three Decades of Teaching
Acharya Shunya offers the rare depth of a traditional Vedic education carried into contemporary life without dilution, formulas, or spiritual packaging. Born into the Sarayu Parampara of Ayodhya, she began studying the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Advaita Vedanta, and the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya with her guru and grandfather at the age of nine. Today, she serves as the first female head of this ancient lineage. For nearly three decades, she has guided seekers through sustained scriptural study, spiritual practice, and Self-inquiry. Some students have remained with her for twenty years.
As a householder, lineage holder, nonprofit founder, and author of three published books, she understands how the highest nondual wisdom must enter relationships, work, responsibility, and the changing conditions of an actual human life. Her teachings invite the deepest descent possible into the Vedic path: scripture studied at its source, supported by contemplation, practice, and the living guidance of a teacher who has herself walked this path across a lifetime.
