Whispers From the Eternal - Episode 5 now on YouTube

Jai Maa and Jai Guru Deva,

Today's episode of Whispers From the Eternal, "A Leaf, A Flower, A Heart" is a brilliant jewel with so many facets. Acharya Shunya ji reflects on verse 9.26 from the Bhagavad Gita "If one offers Me a leaf, a flower, a fruit, or even water with devotion, I accept it". This verse gives us the ultimate permission to just show up, with open heart, to devotion. Without obligation or perfection, just presence.

I was struck by a few phrases immediately:

  • There is a path, right where you are. - Connecting with God is not an external journey, its right here in this moment

  • It is not the object that sanctifies, it is Love. - Rituals and ceremonial practices and objects of worship are wonderful, but only Love connects us with the Divine.

  • Even your sorrow can become worship. - I have experienced this Truth…

These 'Whispers from the Eternal' stirr my soul : The love in your heart makes all the difference. Nothing is too small to offer...begin with what you have. Ishvara will meet you there. ❤️🙏

A New Chapter, A Shared Journey

Beloved Sadasyas,

Here’s an illuminating journey from shadow to Self — featuring Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, who grew up in LA and now lives by the Ganga as a renunciate yogini.

I’m sharing this episode because, like many of you, she is not natively Indian — yet here she is, carrying the Vedic flame in her own powerful way. That’s why I feel this podcast may be of interest to you.

It also marks the beginning of Season 2. What do you think of the new direction?

One quiet way you can help my work and help Vedic wisdom grow in the world is by sharing, commenting, and helping others discover this work — if and when you feel moved to do so.

With steadiness, Acharya Shunya https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNcDjfN7yaY

This episode is another gem in the Shadow to Self series 💎 What a wonderful encounter with Sadhviji. Her life experiences and clear words touch me. Like when she asks herself this simple question, “Is it worth it?”, when stories and life games hinder us from letting go, emptying ourselves so grace can flow. And yes, I so often recognize myself in her quote, “Every bit of the reason I'm stuck is in my head".

Thank you Shunyaji and Sadhviji for this extraordinary and uplifting podcast. ❤️

Jai Guru Deva 🙏

Seva Journey of a Bee

Jai Guru Deva🙏 Thank you so much for this lovely Kula gathering ! The deep lessons that our beloved Teacher shares with such love and dedication, and the heartfelt shares of the Sadasyas, move me. I see and feel how many of us are growing and becoming firmly rooted in the profound wisdom of the Vedic tradition. It's so beautiful, special, and powerful. When I listen to a teaching, I write down a few words, sentences, or phrases that touch me. These can bring out feelings of wonder, joy, and even a little bit of sadness. This helps me start thinking deeply about my daily tasks and invitations to study.

Seva and breaking up the DNA of the self-centeredness of the Grihastha state of mind. From a Me-journey to a We journey.

Let this final quote speak through a picture I took this morning. It's a heartwarming moment that captures a bee's natural…

Beautiful reflections & photo Marijke! I also do the same process of writing down a few words or phrases that touched me. Some of mine from the Kula session where;

Milk the darkness

Stop medicating and start meditating

From forgetting to remembering

Keep me illusion free

This path is so forgiving (from Sakshi)

Kula Meet Recording: Navigating Worldly Roles with Spiritual Clarity

Jai Maa! Jai Gurudev!

The Kula Meet over the weekend with Acharya Shunya on the theme, “The Sacred Life of a Grhastha Sadhu: Navigating Worldly Roles with Spiritual Clarity”, included deep teachings on how to lead an outwardly worldly life while embodying the spiritual inner life of a Sadhu. We witnessed heartfelt shares from our community and received Acharya Shunya’s illuminating, perceptive responses that brought deeper understanding to all of us.

The replay is available in the Kula Meet playlist here

You can explore all of the Sadasya Connect playlists, which include all sessions that are exclusive for Vedic Study Circle members, here

Taking the opportunity to share my personal response to the Kula meet, attached is a photo of my contemplation notebook from after the session. This simple image comes to my heart of figurative versions of Shiva, Shakti, and the children of their union - Karthikeya, Ganesha, and…

Whispers From the Eternal - Episode 4 Now on YouTube

Jai Maa and Jai Guru Deva,

I found today's episode of Whispers From the Eternal podcast pertinent for my own experiences over the last several months. Grappling with the truth that actions, however pious or dharmic or 'spiritual', do not guarantee enlightenment.

The theme of today's teaching from Acharya Shunya is "When Effort Ends, the Divine Begins". Acharya ji talks about that subtle material bondage that still occurs as we hold onto worldly attachments and expectations within even our spiritual sadhana. When we sit with guru, in devotion to Ishwara, and listen deeply, (without 'spiritually bypassing') we may find ourselves experiencing and embodying the Divine deeply.

Please enjoy today's Episode #4 at link below.

In Sacred Surrender,

Sadhvi Aparna

Really looking forward to this! I’ve been noticing my own attachments to how things “ought to” be, whether its wanting others to be less judgmental or wanting myself to stop judging them 😂 It’s truly a lifelong journey…

God is always within!

I am listening to Shunya ji’s Whispers from the Eternal podcast series on YouTube. I was touched by how our Guru ji frames the idea of the Divine in the mundane. Perhaps that moment in which I caught myself being too quick to judge someone was Maa Lakshmi, beckoning me to open my heart to a place of abundant love. Perhaps the sliver of courage that shined through my self-doubt was Maa Durga, calling me to roar with potential. Perhaps my reaction of pain upon seeing the suffering of another being was Lord Rama, pushing me to use my various positions of privilege for the good of all beings. 💖

Lakshmi and Alakshmi

What a beautiful session we had yesterday!Sadhya Soumya's presentation and her personal sharing were truly inspiring.

This morning, while contemplating the essence of Maa Lakshmi, I realized she represents Dharma—all that we can be and become when we follow the light of Sattva and righteousness.

On the other hand, Alakshmi symbolizes all that we strive not to be or do, yet at times we forget our Dharmic nature and fall into the patterns of rajas and tamas. Alakshmi crept up on me this morning, as my ego tried to convince me to stay in bed a little longer, using last night's late satsang as an excuse. But giving in would have meant shortening my morning routine—yet another precious gift from Maa Lakshmi.

I had to gently say no to Alakshmi—with love and understanding—and choose to rise, steady on my path.

Jaya Maa Lakshmi! Jai Guru Dev!

Yes, Jayanti, the very next day after the inspiring session Sadhya Solumya I found myself getting up early to clean what I had scattered around the house and to get organized. Over the entire week, I felt the impulse to be more tidy and organized, and I appreciate that session.
