Whispers from the Eternal - Episode 8: Because He Carries What I Can Not

Jai Maa and Jai Guru Deva,

Episode 8 of Acharya Shunya's Bhakti podcast Whispers from the Eternal entitled "Because He Carries What I Can Not" is now posted both to YouTube and everywhere you listen to podcasts. You can find the YouTube link below.

In this episode Acharya Shunya shares the great secret of Bhakti that fuels her own limitless service and creative endeavors. From Chapter 9, verse 22 of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna tells Arjuna:

Those who think of me alone, and worship me with one-pointed love, to them I give what they lack and protect what they already have.

We don't have to 'hold' everything [with our ego] because Ishwara is carrying everything we cannot. When we Love Ishwara, we are held and protected.

I was struck by the very clear distinction that Acharya ji shares here between worldly egoic protection, and divine protection. Seeking material resources…

I have a question about the Gayatri Mantra practice circle. Has this weeks video been uploaded? May be an error on my end, but the last video I have is from 10 days ago. Thanks so much.

Jai Maa and Jai Guru Deva🙏🏻

I feel the urge to share this question here in the community forum as I feel it would spark a deep reflection and conversation among us all. If this is not the right space for this question can someone please indicate the right way to ask the question directly to our beloved Guru? I live in Italy, so unfortunately I am not able to join most of the meetings live.

This question arises from a personal situation but I believe it can interest us all as spiritual seekers. Here it is.

What is the right action, the right thing to do, when a person really close to you, like a parent, justifies and really believes that the genocide of innocent children, like what is happening in Palestine, is right? What is the right way to go on living and sharing your life with a…

I appreciate this question and the feedback it has received so far. I too have a difficult parent. I lean on our Dear Guru’s words, that we must have compassion for the sleepwalkers in our lives. And I’m looking forward to exploring the teachings of the 5 relationships we must honor that was previewed in this weeks Karma Yoga session.

The Most Inspiring Battlefield

I was visiting a contemporary art museum in Bangkok a few weeks ago. The walls of the museum were adorned with beautiful spiritual artwork.

This battlefield scene from Bhagavad Gita almost brought tears to my eyes. The courageous look on Arjuna's face and Lord Krishna blowing the conch with his illumined presence is so inspiring. Once we overcome our fears, hear the Divine calling, the battlefield of life can become a playground for our Ultimate Self.

With an inspired and open mind, I am so looking forward to this 10 month long journey with Acharya Shunya, which will definitely shift our perspective.🙏🌼

Planting the seed of Dedication

Jai Maa !

How fortunate and encouraging is this journey of Karma Yoga!

We are invited to transform our ordinary lives into a sacred practice, where action no longer binds but liberates.

Today I plant the seed of dedication so that I can become the keen observer of this process and remember that these ten months of study with Acharya Shunya require commitment, patience and acceptance no matter what.

Sri Krishna is our best friend ♥️♥️

This Supreme Self is our best friend.

Karma Yoga

"The Gita meets us fair and square in the shadow," our beloved Guruji said during our introductory Karma Yoga session. Such a powerful statement—one that ignites a yearning to uncover the deeper meaning of this human journey.

Who am I? Why am I here? What is my Dharma? These profound soul-searching questions point the way out of the shadow. Yet, their answers do not come easily. That is why we seek the light of a true Guru, like Acharya Shunya.

She speaks from the heart, and her words resonate with such truth that they awaken something deep within me—a subtle ache, as if the soul itself is straining to break free from the chains of Samsara.

Thank you, dear Guruji, for your unwavering devotion and for sharing your light. Jai Guru Deva!

Whispers From the Eternal, Episode 7 - Every Act a Flower for Narayana

Jai Maa and Jai Guru Deva!

I hope you are enjoying these tender whispers from our teacher as much as I am. To me, they feel like droplets of dew on a morning flower - small, but revealing an infinite scope as we come close and pay attention.

Today's episode of Acharya Shunya's Bhakti Yoga focused podcast Whispers From the Eternal is entitled "Every Act a Flower for Narayana".

Acharya Shunya introduces us to Narayana - that infinite eternal cosmic sustaining force, that "is beyond name and form, and yet keeps coming back to take name and form, for our sake so our hearts can find the formless through love." This special sustaining principle of the Infinite comes to us in many forms including as Guru gifting us with the knowledge of the Self. Acharya Shunya shares a prayer that she chants every day to that Cosmic Sustainer, Narayana.

“That the ordinary becomes holy,” stopped my breath. I had to replay it twice and still it feels like the subtle space between one heartbeat and the next. It is like the ringing bell—waking me up not to something new, but to whisper of truth always inside me that the day-to-day noise around me and inside my head drowns out. After the ringing of the bell comes the moment of silence, and in that silence is the place where truth rings. And so I offer this act of remembrance—that nothing is ordinary because everything comes from the Cosmic Sustainer—back to Narayana with thanks to our teacher for shining light in this moment. J’ai Maa! J'ai Guru Deva!
