Basant Panchami
Today Basant Panchami celebrated in India to mark the arrival of Spring, We wear yellow clothes and also make kheer or rice with saffron to celebrate the color Yellow which is associated with abundance of Nature and auspicious beginnings.
This is a special day for Students and for life long learners to pray to Maa Saraswati who bestows knowledge and learnings. In Guru Maa’s book – Roar like a Goddess there is beautiful story of how Maa Saraswati gave order to the creation of cosmos and through her we get the gift of speech and hearing. She is a patron of arts thus as children we would be asked to pray to her on this beautiful day to transform our creativity with love and perseverance. I remember Saraswati Yantra being made on portable chalkboard at home and kept at the mandir on this beautiful day- Tried to recreate that through Rangoli and posting a picture!
I also wanted to Thank our Teachers, who inspire us to wake up early, keep an altar, who help us ride the waves of samsara so we can make the journey from Satyam to Moksha, You inspire us with your wisdom and your thoughts of seeing Ishwara everywhere. I see Maa Saraswati through your guidance, through your contemplations and on this beautiful day of Basant Panchami would like to be grateful for your presence in our lives. Jai Maa.

I love your rangoli design! Thank you for your post on how you celebrate!
