Karma Yoga ~ Session 6
Acharya Shunya ji’s Karma Yoga Session 6 was inspirational, moving and poetic.
I particularly loved Guru Ji’s recounting at timestamp 28.50 of an example given in scriptures of “the Swan / the Hamsa floating on the serene lake and her perfect image is being mirrored by the lake but the swan is not trying to reflect her image on the lake, and the lake is not trying to deflect her image back to her. Nobody is trying anything - it is happening on its own - the miracle of the Great Omniscient Dimension.”
Then this potent reminder, “ the moment we start performing in our offering to G.OD. — we exit the natural order.”
What I found so effective, was Guruji’s natural but intentional pause to rest in the profundity of what was being transmitted. She closed her eyes, and in stillness, held the Gyan(?) Mudra - this allowed us to close our eyes also and receive the wisdom of what we had just heard and let it take root within us. This helped me absorb the real possibilities of adopting this mode of naturally moving through life, softening and releasing our small ego’s offerings.

This oil painting by Hilma Af Klint titled - ‘Final Picture from the Series S.U.W. / Swan, 1915, from an exhibition catalogue called ‘The Spiritual In Art — Abstract Painting 1890-1985’ has always intrigued me. I ‘happened’ to ‘naturally’ come across it in my photos while looking for images of lotuses 🪷 I thought you might enjoy it too 🦢.
What a beautiful share, Kamala! Thank you also for sharing the gorgeous and mysterious painting by Hilma Af Klint 💖
