"If God had a heart then we conquer it with our love, with our bhakti"
This deeply touching quote from our dear Guruji in class 14 of our Karma Yoga series was in response to Sri Krishna's confession "Although I am supremely independent, yet I become enslaved by
my devotees. They conquer my heart. What to speak of my
devotees, even the devotees of my devotees are very dear to me." from the Srimad Bhagvatam 9.4.63
What a blessing, not only to have had over a year of bhakti yoga teachings and to be able to experience that love and devotion ourselves, but to be told in an ancient and revered text, that we may benefit from the deep devotion of our Guru is a blessing beyond.
I'd say that we are in especially good shape since our Guruji has discovered the heart reaction on zoom 😉💗

Thank you Anjali. I remember that part but had forgotten it. I find it to be both thought provoking and heart expanding. To contemplate what God’s heart and love could possibly be like. So much greater than what I’ve ever allowed in, I’m sure. And to conquer that? May I know what that feels like more and more as I steadily approach the infinity of it.
