Reflections from Our November Samsara Surfers Circle

Jai Maa,

A warm thank-you to everyone who gathered for our Samsara Surfers session this past Saturday.

It was a heartfelt circle where we explored the topic of Desire using Vedic frameworks and tools, supported by insights from Acharya Shunya’s chapter on Vasanas from her book Sovereign Self.

Together, we witnessed how some desires move us toward clarity and alignment, while others ripple with restlessness and pull us from our center.

We each explored one healthy desire and one that felt binding, identified light actions with clarity and trust, and surrendered the outcomes to Ishwara. Through this reflection and practice, we rested in the simple but profound Vedic truth that our wholeness is untouched by the fulfillment or non-fulfillment of any desire.

This month also marks one year since the Samsara Surfers series began in November 2024. As a kula, we paused to acknowledge the journey we’ve shared — the sincerity, openness, and trust each of you brings to this space — and to offer our gratitude to one another.

I also want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all of you — including those who participate quietly through recordings in your own time. Your sincerity, reflections, and presence contribute deeply to the soul and warmth of this community. I feel genuinely blessed for the opportunity to serve and to walk this path together in the spirit of mutual learning and support.

If you’re new to the kula or simply curious, you’re welcome to step in at any time. Each session stands on its own, and the recordings, including last Saturday's, are available here should you wish to explore earlier themes at your own pace.

In Service with Gratitude

Gayathri, I’ve really enjoyed reading your post and summary of our last session and what has transpired in your sessions over this past year. I’ve enjoyed attending your sessions and welcome members to attend in the year ahead.

I love this statement from your post -

“we rested in the simple but profound Vedic truth that our wholeness is untouched by the fulfillment or non-fulfillment of any desire.”

How wonderful, inspiring and relieving❣️
