Karma Yoga is Medicine for the Soul

Reflecting upon all the Karma Yoga sessions, I am observing how my ego is slowly feeling the pinch and learning to let go of control. At first, there was strong resistance, but as we progress and dive deeper, I am finally experiencing the incredible benefits of these teachings and their effects on my approach to life. I have never been a particularly possessive person, but after re-listening to the last transmission twice, I realized that oftentimes our attachments are very subtle, as the ego can be a master at manipulating our perception.

I particularly love the idea that we are operating in the divine theater, and that somehow we have mistaken this theater for something else—something we think we can control, possess, change, and so on. But what if we simply step back, observe, and flow with the divine river? I love this idea of “flowing with the divine river,” as Guruji mentioned. When we flow, we become light, as the river supports us and we allow the waters to carry us.

Thank you Jayanti for demonstrating what it looks like to allow shraddha - functional trust - to carry us through the learning journey. These teachings are uncomfortable and don't comfort the ego at first, but trusting enough to entertain the idea for a while, we eventually discover such a wellspring of practical benefits and deeper contentment. Jai Maa. Jai Guru Deva.
