Shunya Speaks Mananam Monday
Jai Maa & Jai Guru Deva Sadasya’s,
Shunya Speaks is honored to share a Mananam Monday reflection drawn from the sacred words of our Acharya. Vedic wisdom is a living, heard tradition passed through a flowing parampara. In this lineage, we are lovingly encouraged to engage three essential steps that support our spiritual unfolding.
The first step is Shravanam — the sacred act of deeply listening and receiving the teacher’s transmission, whether through spoken teachings or through attentive reading of their words. This receptive listening plants the seed of knowledge within the Atma.
The second step is Mananam — the intentional revisiting and recollection of the teacher’s words through self-study and mindful contemplation. In this phase, we gently sit with the truth of the teachings, allowing them to be inwardly digested, clarified, and freed from doubt. Mananam keeps the mind engaged with wisdom and transforms understanding into lived insight.
The third step is Nididhyasanam — meditation and deep assimilation, where we open a sacred inner space for the wisdom to permeate and purify our entire being. Here, knowledge matures into sthira- a steady groundedness in truth.
Together, these three Vedic steps — listening, contemplation, and meditation — sustain and guide us along the path, helping the teachings move from words into direct experience and provide a personal sadhana (daily practice) for us to consistently engage in.
Each Monday, the Shunya Speaks team will share a quote from Acharya's recent teachings, offering a sacred pause in your day for reflection and inner Mananam.
Today’s reflection invites us to contemplate the meaning of Samatvam — cultivating equanimity through wholehearted acceptance of what is arising, just as it is.

I love this! Thank you Sadhya Soumya for this Monday Shunya Speaks words of wisdom. I contemplated on them last Monday, so very helpful to have these reminders especially before our Monday Pod session. A beautiful way to spend the day in reflection and inner mananam.
