Samsara Surfers: Reflections & Link to Recording

Jai Maa,

With a heart full of gratitude, thank you to everyone who joined us for the Samsara Surfers session this past Saturday.

It was a deeply reflective and heartfelt space.

In this session, we explored a subtle yet powerful theme — Resistance.

Not just resistance to the “waves” of life, but also the resistance that can arise towards the very wisdom and tools that are here to support us.

Through shared reflections and a contemplative exercise, we gently explored:

  • How life continues to bring changing “waves” across work, relationships, health, and our inner world

  • How often it is not just the wave itself, but our resistance - in its many forms - that creates the struggle

  • Where we may be holding on to expectations or control

  • And where applying what we already understand can feel challenging, especially in situations that matter deeply to us

A beautiful insight that emerged was:

The journey is not about resisting the resistance, but about bringing gentle awareness to it and allowing it to soften, little by little…

As this inner softening happens, we may begin to experience a sense of lightness and alignment…

And in that space, sometimes… life begins to move in unexpected ways, opening doors and creating possibilities, while we learn to meet it all with greater equanimity.

Thank you for your openness, your sharing, and for holding such a compassionate space for one another.

If you weren’t able to join live, you’re warmly invited to listen to the recording here and reflect at your own pace.

You can also find all past recordings here.

Looking forward to being together again in April.

Jai Maa !

Thank you for this beautiful session 🪷 !

It helped me notice the subtle ways I resist even when contemplating and practicing the Teachings. I also gained a clearer understanding of Arpana Buddhi and Prasada Buddhi, and realized there’s an inner “resistance” I hadn’t noticed before. One insight I want to keep exploring is: “do not resist even resistance.” 🙏.

Thank you also for the reflection on the different ways we experience silence—whether through a silent treatment, stilling the mind, or connecting with the inner Silence. This distinction helps me orient myself better in both situations and relationships. 🙏 Jai Guru Dev
