I thoroughly enjoyed the recording ❤️ Vimalas’s meditation with the beautiful early spring image was short, sweet, and effective. I could feel some vague heaviness in my mind dissipate. What I admire so much about the way Vimala teaches, in the model Acharya Shunya has given us, is the ability to relay to us the big picture, which is Nature herself, and how by observing her as seasons turn, we become more attuned to our own changeable nature - body and mind, and with that understanding, then gently bring in the recommended balancing foods, physical & mental activities, lifestyle adjustments that can be tweaked for our own constitutions, ages, stages, as we are each a living laboratory for the science of Ayurveda. I’ve been practicing the “spring lightening” for several years now, and it has become natural and joyful. In the beginning, I took notes on what I did, and the effects it had, so I could build upon that knowledge next spring. Now it has become ingrained in me, so I don’t keep notes, but I still start very small, like 1/8 teaspoon, when it comes to herbs like neem (which I consider a wonderfully refreshing lightening tonic) and sitapaladi (which i love for relieving any lingering post nasal drip) to see the effect over a few days in my skin, elimination, and mental/physical energy. If I’m feeling too hot/irritated/dry/scattered or dull/heavy/wet, I adjust accordingly. Ayurveda is such a personally empowering health system. I just love it! Thank you for continuing the Ayurveda Sangha. Though I haven’t been able to attend the live sessions, it’s very helpful to watch the recordings to refresh knowledge, be inspired, and learn from the participant shares, too. 🙏🏼
