A Gem from Karma Yoga: Session 8
Jai Maa!
During the live session last Tuesday when Shunya ji was teaching about Deva Yajña, specifically in reference to a practice in India of tying ribbons to trees, she said it was not superstition but, "this is a regonition of sacredness in the mundane." It was such a subtle sentance with powerful resonance. My mind echoed: Yes! Exactly! (I wanted to bring this gem to anyone's attention who may have missed it. It's during the 35th minute on the recording.)
For myself, I feel it is imperative to recognize the sacred in the mundane- the Divine in the everyday. It may be easy to see the Infinite in anything called a deity. But what about the rest? When I start seeing G.O.D. in everything, even the mundane, then my heart opens and the Divine’s Love flows in all directions.
Jai Guru Deva!

"this is a recognition of sacredness in the mundane" ... that caught my ear as well Yogesh!
"When I start seeing G.O.D. in everything, even the mundane, then my heart opens and the Divine’s Love flows in all directions" ...
So true. In the light of our fine tuned yet expanded observation, the mundane reveals its cosmic nature.
